The University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) – a dynamic network committed to driving innovation and entrepreneurship through university-industry interaction. UIIN’s mission is to exploit the full value of collaboration and cooperation (open innovation), ultimately making an impact to academia, business and society. UIIN was founded in 2012 and is a dynamic network of academics, practitioners and business professionals focused on establishing and improving relationships between education and industry. With more than 300 members from 25+ countries, UIIN has advanced to a leading European network dedicated to fostering support structures for university-industry interaction, entrepreneurial universities and collaborative innovation.

The network organises various events and workshops on the topics of entrepreneurial and engaged university, university-business collaboration , entrepreneurial leadership, and more. UIIN gathers university change-makers at the largest conference on university-industry interaction in Europe and in Australia with 500+ participants each year. UIIN is operated by a passionate team with expertise in the fields of university industry interaction, entrepreneurship, innovation, smart specialisation and related topics.

In PIETE project, UIIN is responsible for collecting Good Practices across Europe that will inspire the Initial teacher Educators to integrate entrepreneurial skills development techniques and methods into their every day teaching. Additionally, UIIN  coordinates the dissemination activities and raising the awareness about the rationale and the benefits of the project through creating project’s visual identity, maintaining project’s media channels, the website and launching an international event.
